All gone!!

Hi everyone, so many beauty bloggers and youtubers have been doing project pan and banning themselves from buying any other products it has inspired me!  After receiving so many beauty boxes I have started to accumulate a ton of samples on top of what I just can't help myself from buying!  With this in mind and my over full cupboards I decided to do my own version of project pan!
Once I had used 5 products I could treat myself!  Not a huge treat but maybe a new nail polish or lip balm (I am a lip balm hoarder!)  Then once all my body butters or bubble baths were used up I would allow myself to replace them!  So here is what I used up over the last 4 weeks!
6 products used plus a random sample I found in a box of samples!
2 body products and they were the Bodyshop brazil nut body butter, you can't beat the body shop body butters for how quickly they sink in and how moisterising they are.  The brazil nut one was a nice scent for the winter and I'm glad I got through iy so I can focus on spring scents now!  The other was a Jergens natural extra softening moisteriser which I have had for over a year in my cupboard so I thought that had to get used!  It was a nice shea/cocoa butter scent but I didn't love it and it took a while to sink in.
Hair products (excuse the poor photo) I used my bodyshop rainforest hair mask which was nice but nothing special and I don't think I would buy it again.  The other one was the Lush American cream conditioner which I did love!  It smelt lovely and was a nice light conditioner which was perfect for when your hair had a bit of product build up, I may get this again!
The next  items were my Lacura eye cream which was the exception to the rule as it's something I've used for over a year and so is more a daily staple so I did buy more of this as to me it was like running out of toothpaste!
I'm sure most of you have about 3 or more open hand creams in various places so this was one of my 5!  I am glad to have used one up finally and as much as I liked this Sanctury one I don't think it'll be repurchased.  The cheat product I used up was the Lierac comfort peel from a box a while ago, this didn't really do anything for me and I didn't notice any change or effecs on my skin which is sometimes the problem with these small samples but they are always handy for home facials!

I felt a little bit cleansed after using up a few products and I think I will continue this for a while and next month if I use up some (genuinly use not throw out!) then I may treat myself to a Lush bubblebar or a nice new blusher!

Superdrug vitamin E hot cloth cleanser review

Hi everyone,  was wandering around my local Superdrug a little while ago and I stumbled across their hot cloth cleanser.  I thought this looked interesting and decided to give it a try and I've been using it for 3 weeks now so thought I'd do a very quick review.
This I'm sure is their dupe for the Elizbeth Earle hot cloth cleanser but is only £2.99!

Inside the box you get the cleanser and a muslin cloth to use with it.
The cleanser is very thick and creamy and as advised I have been massaging it into my skin then polishing it off with the cloth provided.
If you like shea/coco butter scents then you will like this and it has a very slight coconut fragrance to it as well.
As I mentioned before it is a very thick and creamy cleanser and was a dream to use on my skin.  After I have poished it off and patted my face dry my skin feels amazing!  It removes makeup and makes the skin feel soooo smooth and it is dreamy!

Verdict
After 3 weeks I can honestly say I love this cleanser, my skin feels lovely and smooth and it deosn't dry out or overly moisterise my skin so I haven't had any breakouts at all.
If you are wanting to try hot cloth cleansers and aren't sure if they are for you this is the best high street one I have used and I really would give it a try.

Max Factor Fantasy Fire nail polish

Hi everyone, this was a nail polish that I had heard a lot about and mostly of the comparisons to the discountinued Clarins 230 polish.  I have never owned the Clarins one so I cannot comment but this is a very unique polish and one that I'm glad I purchased.
The polish itself looks like a blue purple with multichrome shimmer and can look totally different in different lights so I tried to get a few different shots of the polish for you.
This wasn't very opaque and took 4 coats!  That may seem like too many but the drying speed was so quick that by the time I finished both hands I could immediately start again with another coat so it wasnt bad at all.
I'm going to put up a few different shots for you and hope you can see the depth of colour this polish has.

As you may be able to see in some lights it's very purple, other more pink/purple and then in some the blue comes right out.

Verdict
An amazing polish, love the depth of colour and the multichrome shimmer is very eye catching and mesmirising.  a great polish.

March Glossybox The Harrods edition

Hi everyone, well better late than never right!  I missed the postman and then had to collect this from the post office so it took a few days longer than expected to post but here is this months Glossybox!

This month was the Harrods edition and there had been a lot of hype surrounding this box.

The box was white this month and was tied with the signature green Harrods ribbon, it looked lovely!
I felt the contents of this months box were nice and are all things that I will get use out of.
Ojon-Damage repair reserve instant restorative hair serum
I was excited to see this product as I am very familiar with Ojon and it was a great size sample and will be a perfect treat for my hair.  To use you warm one or two drops of this serum in your hands and apply to damp or dry hair before heat styling or as a finishing touch.  I'm really looking forward to trying this as my hair goes dull very easily and this will hopefully pick it back up.
Fendi-Fan di Fendi eau de toilette
As with most people I am not great at describing fragrances but this one says on the information sheet that it is a luminous floral fragrance, radiant with sunlight and leaving a lasting impression of light roman leather on the skin.  To me this is one of the nicer smelling perfume samples and I was really glad I received this sample as I'm on the hunt for a new fragrance.
Clarins-Extra firming body cream
I like trying Clarins creams and cleansers as it is not a brand I purchase that often but always enjoy the brand when I do.  I have a few various Clarins samples at the moment and as I'm going on a trip shortly I will be packing them and giving them a try together so this one is a great sample to take away for a few days and I'm looking forward to trying it.
Erno Laszlo-The Hollywood collection: 5 piece cream gift set
This was the first time I'd seen a sample gift set of more than two items and as I am not familiar with this brand it's very exciting as I live skin care and love finding out about new brands.
This comes with sachets of morning beauty rescue, refresh moisture infusion, instant eye repair, intensive porcelain veil and velvet night cream.
This to me is a great idea and when I go away for a weekend it's going to be a great product to pack as it has all you need to give the products a real try and see how they work together, I love this sample.
Burberry beauty-miniture lip cover rosewood no.4
This product from what I have read caused the most hype as it is such a nice sample and I know a lot of people were excited to receive this.  The colour is a fairly universal colour.
The lipstick itself is quite moisturising and comes out well and it looks pretty and will fit in your clutch bag!  A really nice sample and one that I am glad I got and will 100% use and probably use it all!

Verdict
I really enjoyed the Harrods Glossybox, it had a bit of everything in and the perfume sample was a generous one!  I have read that some people got slight variations of the box but the one I received I really enjoyed and once again I will get use out of all the products inside.  I can't work out which product is my favourite this month, but my top three are the Ojon serum, the Erno Laszo samples and not forgetting the Burberry lip cover, it's adorable!
Thanks for reading

Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin Thermafoliant

Hi everyone, I wanted to give you a review on the final sample of Dermalogica products I received and those who read my blog or follow me on Twitter will know I have loved the other products I was sent in this range.
The thermafoliant is a skin polisher that says it has unique thermal technology that activates upon contact to enhance penetration of the age-fighting ingrediants into the skin.
This was presented in the usual Dermalogica simpe yet classy packaging.
The product itself is medium consistency with a very fine gritty texture and so I knew it would be nice and kind to skin whilst still giving it a good polish.
You can apply this to damp or dry skin, dry if you want a more intense polish and result so that is what I have been using this product on.
You should then massage this in circular motions for 1-2 minutes and then rinse off.  First thing I noticed was a slight warmth on application but not the heat you get with some cheaper heat face masks, this was a lovely slight warmth that faded very fast but that is all I need and want.
As soon as I rinsed this product off I patted my face with a towel, then when I looked in the mirror I was taken back by how I already had a very healthy flushed look to my skin.  I then moisterised and loved how easily the moiseriser sunk in and this product seemed to make my moisteriser 10 times more effective as in the morning my skin still looked and felt incredible and the effects lasted a few days.

Verdict:  If you want very professional results at home then this is an amazing product.  It really blew me away at how well it worked and how amazing the results were and how long they lasted.  I will be purchasing a full size of this product and I recomend those who want a good treat for their skin do the same.  It feels luxurious and the results for me were the best I have had using home products!

Dermalogica mutivitamin power recovery masque

Hi everyone, in a beauty box a long time ago I was sent some Dermalogica products and I have used them before and know how amazing they are so I didn't really want to use them as I didn't want them to be used up!  I know that may sound strange but I really wanted to keep them for a special occasion or for nearer the spring to give me a boost after winter so that's what I did and those who follow me on Twitter (@beautybargains2) may have seen me tweet about how amazing these are and how excitted I was to use my products.  The first one I'm reviewing is the Age smart multivitamin power recovery masque
I love how simple and smart the packaging is.
This is described as a powerful masque of concentrated vitamins A,C, E and F to help skin recover from damage that leads to ageing while enhancing barrier properties and promoting healthy tissue regeneration.
The description sounded perfect for my tired looking skin.
It is really creamy in texture and smells almost citrus spa like (sorry for vague description!)
You apply it to a cleansed face and leave for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
I left it on for fifteen minutes and used it once the first week and twice the second as I wanted an extra pick me up for my skin that week and this product delivered just that!  My skin looked glowing!  I felt like I'd just been for a facial and loved how nice and glowy my skin was the next morning.

Verdict:  This product is a luxury product to me, it makes my skin feel amazing and I enjoy using the Dermalogica range.  This product is perfect for a pick me up or if you want that just had a facial feeling.  I purchased the lip renewal complex recently after loving the sample I received and I think I may well purchase this as well!

Bobbi Brown perfectly defined mascara review

Hi everyone, I was recently sent a sample of this Bobbi Brown mascara, not for review but as a promotion they ran on their facebook page.  I was quite impressed with the promotion as not only did I find out fairly quickly I'd won but the product arrived really fast and in a lovely envelope! (It's the simple things that please me!!)
The sample itself was a fairly small sample but I was going out that Friday so I thought I would give it a test run throughout the week then try it on the Friday night out for a real test!
The wand is a good length, it's about half the size of my little finger and a little longer than my usual daily mascara.
The bristles are medium density and it's very easy to apply.
I applied one coat to start with and I instantly noticed how much longer my lashes looked.  It wasn't clumpy at all and looked amazing.  I thenwent on to apply a second coat and it made the look much worse.  My lashes began to clump and I noticed a couple of lumps in my lashes.
On the night out this did not budge an inch!  I have a bad beauty confession, I slept in my makeup that night and in the morningit still hadn't smudged and I didn't have panda eyes!  I was stunned!

Verdict:  This is a great mascara, I would recomed one coat and if you're happy with the result don't apply another.  It is amazing for a night out as gives great length and didn't smudge overnight!  If I was to liken this to a high street brand for results I'd say it gave similar results to the classic Maybelline Great lash mascara (the pink and green one!).  This is a worthwhile investment and a lovely product, it's perfect medium consistency and staying power makes it great for use for any event.

Rimmel Lycra pro Beige babe

Hi everyone, I thought I'd do a quick post as I had a last minute get together on Friday and had to really quickly choose a nail polish and go so I opted for one I haven't worn any more than once that I can remember so I chose Beige babe from the Rimmel Lycra pro range.
This is a nice shade if you are going out on an Autum/Winter evening and I felt it was the last time I would be going for a darker shade this season as I'm so eager to use brighter colours so it was a good chance to try this shade again.
I used two coats as I didn't have too long before I had to go but it is a quite opaque polish so I easily got away with it.
As I have mentioned before this range of polishes are pretty opaque and have good staying power and even though I'm always on the go these don't tend to chip for at least a couple of days and the finished look is normally very glossy and professional looking.

Andrew Barton The straight answer

Hi everyone, I wanted to do a quick review on the second Andrew Barton I picked up in my local Asda.  Andrew Barton is a hair care range sold at Asda and at very resonable prices so I thought I'd give them a try.
It comes in a bottle you'd expect from a heat protection spray and it mists out a nice amount on to your hair.
I didn't have any expectation of this product having been previously disappointed by the dry shampoo I almost had given up on it before I began!
This smells absoloutly divine!  I love the scent and would spray it on my hair just for that alone.
As for protection I didn't notice any difference between this and any other other heat protection sray in this price bracket and I'm don't think it did much more than minimal protection.

Verdict: If you want a nice smelling cheap and cheerful heat protection spray then this does the job.  I preferred the scent of this than most other high street sprays, but if you were looking for some serious protection then I wouldn't recomend this, sadly as with the dry shampoo I was a little disappointed.
